Ineos Grenadier GM Riviera RF20

When the Ineos Grenadier first hit the scene, it promised to be the spiritual successor to the classic, rugged off-roader. Built for purpose, durability and go-anywhere capability. However, while the Grenadier is a mechanical masterpiece, its factory stance can often look a bit conservative for those who want a truly commanding presence on and off the road. We recently had a Grenadier (GM variant) in for a transformation that balances heavy-duty performance with a high-end aesthetic, featuring our Riviera RF20 wheels.

The Ineos Grenadier is a rare breed in the modern SUV world. It’s a dedicated 4×4 built for utility, featuring a ladder-frame chassis and permanent four-wheel drive. Because of its boxy, heritage-inspired design, it provides the perfect canvas for aftermarket modifications. For this build, we wanted to lean into that “overland” identity, enhancing the vehicle’s rugged DNA while making it look just as at home on a city street as it is on a mountain pass.

To contrast the Grenadier’s utilitarian bodywork, we opted for the Riviera RF20 finished in Bronze. The RF20 is a robust, multi-spoke design that perfectly complements the industrial styling of the Ineos. The Bronze finish adds a sophisticated “earthy” tone that works incredibly well with the 4×4 aesthetic, providing a pop of colour that isn’t as common as standard black or silver.

Beyond aesthetics, the RF20 is engineered to handle the weight and demands of a heavy-duty off-roader. To complete the look, we wrapped these wheels in a set of aggressive All-Terrain (A/T) tyres. This combination ensures the Grenadier maintains its legendary off-road capability while gaining a massive boost in visual aggression.

The Grenadier is a tall vehicle, and the factory wheel fitment often leaves the tyres tucked far inside the arches. To fix this, we calculated the perfect offset to achieve a true flush fitment. By bringing the wheels out so they sit perfectly level with the wheel arches, we’ve given the Grenadier a much wider, more stable-looking footprint. This doesn’t just improve the “curb appeal”, it gives the vehicle a more planted feel. The combination of the wider stance and the chunky sidewalls of the off-road tyres fills the arches completely, eliminating the factory gap and creating the ultimate rugged 4×4 silhouette.
