Ford Mustang GT S550 Riviera RF108

When it comes to modern American muscle, the Ford Mustang GT S550 is an undisputed icon. With its aggressive lines and Coyote V8 roar, it’s a car that demands a wheel setup to match its performance pedigree. At Riviera Wheels, we recently had the pleasure of transforming a Mustang GT with a setup that perfectly balances motorsport-inspired aesthetics with a “perfect fitment” stance.

The result? A Mustang that looks as fast as it feels. Here is a closer look at the build.

The S550 generation of the Mustang GT brought a new level of sophistication to the American pony car. However, even with its factory performance, many owners find the stock wheels leave a little to be desired in terms of “concavity” and “arch-fill.” To give this GT the presence it deserves, we knew we needed a wheel that could bridge the gap between luxury and raw racing style.

For this build, we selected our Riviera RF108 wheels. The RF108 is a sophisticated multi-spoke mesh design that takes direct inspiration from classic motorsport. Finished in a deep, high-shine Gloss Black, these wheels provide a stunning contrast against the car’s bodywork, highlighting the Mustang’s performance brakes and muscular silhouette. But the RF108 is more than just a pretty face, it’s manufactured using Flow Forming technology. This process makes the wheel stronger and lighter than traditional cast alternatives, reducing unsprung weight for better handling and sharper throttle response, essential for any 5.0L V8. Fitment is everything.

Fitment is everything. For the S550, a staggered setup is the gold standard, providing that classic “meaty” rear-end look while maintaining precise steering up front. By running a wider 20x10J wheel on the rear, we’ve maximised the contact patch where the Mustang needs it most, at the drive wheels. The RF108’s have been custom drilled to fit the Mustang so there is no need for spacers here. We’ve dialled in the offsets to ensure the wheels sit perfectly flush with the arches eliminating that unsightly factory “tuck” and giving the car a planted, aggressive stance that looks custom tailored.
